The mystery surrounding the Red Planet is at the center of numerous stories in literature and countless scientific studies, yet our understanding of the planet and its environment continues to grow. NASA has sent machines to this world to explore closer than ever before, and scientists are learning more each day about what would be required to send humans to explore the Red Planet firsthand.

From our vantage point on Earth, Mars appears to move backwards on itself against the stars. Mike Ryan will explain this optical illusion as well as the prognosis of what would be involved in bringing people to Mars in this presentation. Entry fee is $5/vehicle for a non-TLNC members.
