Seeking Executive Director

The Trout Lake Nature Center is seeking an executive director to manage its 230-acre property, nature center and education programs. Eileen Tramontana, the current executive director, will be retiring in 2027 and the TLNC Board is looking for an individual to continue the improvements and expansions that have taken place in the past few years and are still ongoing.

This position has the opportunity to complete Phase 3 of our education complex expansion, incorporate exhibits into the new museum space, continue habitat improvements and so much more as TLNC moves into the future. The outlook is bright for TLNC and a dynamic leader is needed to lead the way and to provide inspiration and direction to meet the future needs of the area and to accomplish TLNC’s mission to connect people with nature through education and conservation.

Claudia Rowe Education Coordinator

Claudia is a former Lake County School District science teacher and district science coordinator. She is a member of the Native Plant Society with a love for native plants. She is a sixth generation Floridian. She is a great member of our staff. Email: TLNC.info@gmail.com

Mac Camacho-Viera Education Specialist

Mac has been an environmental educator in this area for many years serving as a contractor. She is a facilitator for many of the national EE programs such as Project WET. She is the President of Orange County's Native Plant Society Chapter. So, she know her native plants in addition to having an extensive knowledge about our water resources in the area. Chris Lancaster Maintenance

Chris is our maintenance who works two days a week. He is responsible for maintaining our trails, boardwalks, facilities and much more. He is knowledgeable about invasive plants and native plants and will be working to improve our different habitats.

As with most non-profits, Trout Lake Nature Center’s Board of Directors consists of volunteers. These volunteers serve in many capacities working to improve the facilities, programming, fundraising, and financial health of Trout Lake Nature Center.

The Board usually meets on the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30 PM and its meetings are open to the public.

Christine Cruz has a leadership role with CleanUp Eustis and served as an interim City Council Member. She has skills with social media, advertising, marketing, event planning and budgeting.
Robin Richter

Resident of Eustis, Robin volunteers for several nonprofits in Lake County, including PAWS Therapy Dogs, Inc. and L.E.A.S.H., Inc. Robin has been involved for many years with the Amazing Race for Charity and TEDxEustis. Full-time, she is the Business Administrator for Final Embrace, LLC and owns her own travel business, All In Travel Agency, LLC. Robin brings many skills to her position on the TLNC board.

Kathy Dennis has non-profit board experience on a range of organizations. She comes with financial knowledge and consensus building skills. She is committed to TLNC's mission.
Karen Ivison

Karen Ivison is a dedicated member of AdventHealth Waterman, where she has served with distinction since 1991. With over 30 years of experience in cardiology, Karen transitioned to the AdventHealth Waterman Foundation in 2020 and later embraced the role of Volunteer Services Manager. Her leadership and compassion continue to make a lasting impact on the organization and the community. Karen is a proud graduate of Leadership Lake County, Class of 2024.
