Due to unforeseen circumstances, there will be no Nature Sprouts program this Wednesday (July 22nd). Nature Sprouts will resume as normal in August on the 28th at 10:30 AM, we hope you can join us then! Email tlnc.info@gmail.com or call 352-357-7536 to register to attend in August.

This program is designed for 2 to 5 year olds to have a positive experience in nature when accompanied by an adult. You MUST register to be sure enough supplies are available for all children participating. Dress your child in play clothes and plan for him/her to get dirty. We may be digging in the soil, finding bugs, learning about flowers or hiking in the woods.

Get Inspired by Nature

Have you ever seen a bird, butterfly or flower that you wanted to capture its beauty or whimsey? Artists since the dawn of time have used nature for inspiration and you can too. Once again, watercolor artist Ellen Westerholm will teach watercolor painting classes at the Trout Lake Nature Center.

The schedule for the upcoming classes is:

Classes will resume in Spring 2025.

Westerholm supplies all needed materials—paints, brushes and art paper. The cost per class is $50. Class size is limited to allow for more personalized instruction. You will leave the class with a beautiful painting done by you. Come get inspired by nature.
