September 18, 2022 -- The Lake Beautyberry Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society (FNPS) is offering the free seminar “How to Propagate Plants using Stem Cuttings” on September 18, 2022, at Trout Lake Nature Center in Eustis.
Do you have a plant that you love and want more, more, more? No need to run to the nearest native nursery because, in many cases, you can make them yourself. Plant propagation by stem cuttings is an inexpensive and easy way to make more plants.
Join us on September 18 th for a class on plant propagation by stem cuttings. Remy Partlow and Peggy Schochet, both board members of the Lake Beautyberry Chapter of the Florida Native Plant Society, will show you how. We are offering a slide presentation to teach you the process followed by a live demonstration where you will make your own propagated plant and take it home.
We will teach you how to make a one-plant greenhouse, how to stem propagate, and how to take care of your new plant as well as what materials you will need. The seminar starts at 2:00 p.m. at the Trout Lake Nature Center, 520 East, County Road 44, Eustis, FL, or arrive at 1:30 to chat with a chapter member. The Lake Beautyberry Chapter of FNPS meeting will immediately follow the seminar and all are welcome to attend.
The mission of the Florida Native Plant Society is to promote the preservation, conservation, and restoration of the native plants and native plant communities of Florida.
