The Trout Lake Nature Center’s Board of Directors has become richer with the expertise and knowledge gained from its newest board member—Willie Hawkins. Hawkins is a long-time resident of Eustis and Lake County and currently serves on the Eustis City Commission and works with other nonprofit organizations in the area.
Hawkins grew up roaming the mountains of North Carolina where he learned to love nature. Hawkins stated “I love what it (Trout Lake Nature Center) offers the younger generation and those looking to escape man made and enjoy god made.
Hawkins will bring new energy, insight, the ability to understand and work with government and a keen knowledge of the local community to the TLNC Board. He is a very welcome addition to the TLNC Board.
