Nature can be an inspiration for the creative side of our brains while being fun to do. Artist and instructor Ellen Westerholm will hold several classes at the Trout Lake Nature Center (TLNC) in January, February and March using nature as inspiration. Westerholm has taught classes at TLNC since 2023 with many participants starting out declaring they couldn’t paint. However, by the end of each class, everyone had paintings they were proud of and willing to show others. Westerholm is truly a gifted teacher who loves to share her passion for painting and nature with others.
The current 2024 class schedule is: Jan. 10 (frog), Jan. 27 (bee and flower), Feb. 7 (manatee), Feb. 24 (mushroom), Mar. 12 (otter) and Mar. 23 (water lily).
Cost for each painting class is $50 with all materials supplied by Westerholm and TLNC entry fee included.
