Having dedicated, effective and passionate board members are what help nonprofits be successful. Robin Richter, long-time resident of Lake County, recently joined the Trout Lake Nature Center’s (TLNC) Board. Richter is a familiar face at many events as she volunteers to help make Lake County a better place to live.
The wife of Joe and a mother of five children, she is the grandmother of six and great-grandmother of three children. She works full-time and has a small business on the side which involves traveling. She is able to bring her professional skills and experience to TLNC.
Richter loves to volunteer and is part of the PAWS Therapy Dogs program and helped with organizing and conducting the Eustis-based Amazing Race for Charity for over ten years. She has been a supporter of TLNC and looks forward to contributing to TLNC in a different way as a Board member.
The Trout Lake Nature Center is located at 520 East CR 44, Eustis and in January will begin its 37th year of operations. As a small non-profit, TLNC depends on volunteers and a small staff to fill the many jobs performed to keep the natural areas, facilities and programs running smoothly. Richter will be a great asset to its Board. For more information, visit www.troutlakenaturecenter.com or call 352-357-7536
