A Childhood Remembered

Clyde Stephen leading an insect walk at TLNC.

Florida's natural landscape has changed in recent years but native Floridians remember the childhood paradise that it was. Climbing trees, running in the woods, watching turtles, swimming in creeks and lakes were part of our childhood adventures. Clyde Stephens, 5th generation Floridian grew up playing in Florida's natural areas as a child and share this love for Florida with is children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Stephens will share his memories of natural Florida and his childhood with you.

This is a unique opportunity to hear and see what natural Florida used to be like and is part of our Naturalist series. This program will be on Saturday, April 12th beginning at 1:30 PM. The TLNC facilities are open from 9 AM to 4 PM so come early or stay after to walk our trails, search for our eggs or find our foxes and raccoon statues (all hidden on trails for your enjoyment), and explore our exhibits.

This program is free to attend but there is a $5/vehicle entry fee to the property. TLNC members enter for free.
