Capital Building Fund (old version)

Capital Building Fund

This fund was established several years ago when our Board of Directors undertook a fundraising campaign for the new construction of a museum and classroom space and expansion of our infrastructure to meet increasing demands. Phase One was completed with the extension of our water lines, connection to city sewers and building of a portion of the parking area entrance and exit road.

Phase Two is finishing the site planning and permitting process. Phase Two includes building two stormwater ponds, new improved parking area, moving and improving the maintenance work area along with building a temporary new entrance through the current Natural History Museum.

Phase Three is completing the design stage for new buildings to be placed in the existing parking area. These buildings will house a multipurpose building that can be used for large events or divided into two smaller rooms for community meetings, classrooms during inclement weather. Additional classrooms and office are to be part of the new buildings along with a lobby/greeting area and outdoor accessible bathrooms and outdoor teaching area. The current Education Building will be refurbished and become the Exhibit Building.

But to accomplish Phase Three, we need to continue to fund raise as costs are continually increasing as the need for the expansion also increases. Sponsorships and naming rights opportunties at all levels are available, call for a information packet. Donations both large and small are needed to complete our expansion. Donate to leave a legacy for future generations.
