February 25, 2026 PAWS DogsThis program will be held with the PAWS Therapy dogs to teach your child how to approach a strange dog safely and how a dog should or shouldn't be petted.

This Nature Sprouts program will focus on the Florida Black Bear which live in our areas. Children will be able to touch bear fur, see a bear skull and fecal sample, and see the tracking collar used by scientists to study black bears. We will also include a walk to see what kind of things a bear would eat.

The Florida panther is a mysterious endangered cat that lives in Florida but is seldom seen. This will be a chance to learn about the Florida panther, touch a panther skin, see its skull, learn about teeth and what a panther eats and so much more.

Movies have created a fear of bats in many people. From being pollinators to eating insects, these small nocturnal flying critters benefit everyone. Using puppets, stories and other materials about bats, your child will have a chance to explore these special critters.

Digging in the mud and making things is an activity all children should get the chance to enjoy. We will celebrate International Mud Month with a walk for your child to collect the soil they want to make into mud. Then, they will use their imaginations to create.
