We will discuss their biology (appearance, life cycle), regional differences among turkeys across North America, and their diet, habitat, and predators. We will also talk about their history and management. Wild turkeys can be thought of as a great conservation success story due to efforts in the 1900s. Finally, we will discuss some of the ongoing research taking place on wild turkeys here in Florida.
