This Adult beginner watercolor project painting will feature a potting shed for the spring gardener. Class fee is $50 and it includes all supplies, brushes and paints. You must register in advance on the TLNC website or by calling 352-357-7536.

This is your chance to see bugs from around the world, investigate aquatic insects up close, and talk with experts to learn all about mosquitoes, the insects in the extensive TLNC collection and the honeybees in our hives. Every three to five years the lost springs of the Ocklawaha River awaken during a months-long drawdown at George Kirkpatrick Dam. During the 2015-2016 drawdown, springs artist Margaret Tolbert and filmmaker Matt Keene traveled to the Ocklawaha to capture the magic of their rebirth, both on canvas and on film.
Experiencing a landscape scarred by government failure, an artist must come to grips with the impending loss of her subject matter: a collection of majestic freshwater springs exposed only for a short time before being smothered and forgotten beneath waters held back by an aging and purposeless dam.

This program is designed for 2 to 5 year olds to have a positive experience in nature when accompanied by an adult. You MUST register by emailing TLNC.info@gmail.com or calling 352-357-7536 to be sure enough supplies are available for all children participating. Dress your child in play clothes and plan for him/her to get dirty. We may be digging in the soil, finding bugs, learning about flowers or hiking in the woods.

Calling all well-behaved dogs for a group walk and social occasion! Join the pack for a guided walk along our many mulched trails and boardwalk. No registration is required.
