Once again TLNC will be hosting its Reading Tails programs to help your child become a better reader. The PAWS therapy dogs are coming to TLNC for children to read aloud from a book they are currently reading or picking a books from TLNC's library. Elementary children are invited to read to a dog. You must call to attend so we can be sure we have enough dogs for each child.

Mushrooms can appear mysterious or difficult to learn. This indoor class taught by Jon Martin, expert mycologist will teach about the mushrooms significant role on our planet, how to identify them and much more. Cost is $5 and you must pre-register to attend.

Learn about Lake County's freshwater fisheries from an expert fisherman and biological scientist with the Fl. Fish and Wildlife Commission Kyle Miller. Miller might even share some of his favorite fishing spots in the area but will inform you about both statewide and local fisheries. This program is free to attend but a $5 donation is suggested to support future programs at TLNC.

This monthly program is for 2 to 5 year old children and their favorite adults to learn about nature in an age-appropriate fashion. Making positive nature connections if important for your child's brain development, learning and mental health. Register by calling or emailing the contact listed. This program is free but donations are appreciated and help fund our programs.
