6:30 pm7:30 pm
520 East CR 44 Eustis, FL

From guarding livestock in Africa to sniffing out pythons in Florida, dogs are helping conserve wildlife, plants, and habitats in many - and sometimes surprising - ways. Discover the many roles canines play in the conservation field. You will also meet an “eco-detection” dog-in-training and see the steps that go into teaching these dogs to search.

Kris Whipple is a conservation education professional with over 30 years in both the conservation and animal training fields. She is also a certified force-free trainer, certified canine scent detection handler and certified instructor. She currently competes in AKC scent trials and other canine sports with her scent detection partner, Sprig, a 4-year-old Cardigan Welsh Corgi.
