Inspired by Nature Water Color Painting--Owl
Trout Lake Nature Center offers a different way of seeing—slowing down long enough to notice form, light, and movement, and then translating that experience to paper.
Each class draws from Florida’s native landscapes and species—feather, water, shadow, and structure—inviting participants to observe closely and paint what is often overlooked. Instruction is step-by-step, materials are provided, and the process is accessible regardless of experience level. Held inside the education center and surrounded by native habitat, the setting becomes part of the practice. What is seen outside informs what takes shape on the page.
Join expert instructor and artist Ellen Westerholm as she guides you through painting your own owl. Cost is $50/person with all painting materials being supplied. If you have attended a painting class before, please bring any leftover paints, brushes, or markers to help us walk our environmental talk. This class is for adults.
