Nature has inspired many artists through the centuries. Maybe you have wanted to be able to paint but are afraid you don't have the talent or know how. Ellen Westerholm, a local artist and gifted teacher has been sharing her skills through water color painting classes at the Trout Lake Nature Center. Each month TLNC invites various scientists, nature lovers, storytellers and environmentalist to speak on a wide variety of topics. Although some topics appeal more to adults, children are always welcome. TLNC does charge a $5/vehicle entry fee to all non-TLNC members. This month features Christopher Nicholson and Miracle Baby, FL. Bald Eagle Nest.

Watercolor artist Ellen Westerholm will teach you how to paint and express yourself so the next time you’re inspired you can capture it in water color. Westerholm taught painting for many years with great success. She loves to share her passion for painting and creating.

Folk Music Third Saturdays Concert. $7 at the door. The potluck will begin at 7 PM with music at 7:45. Bring a covered dish for the potluck.

This monthly program is for 2 to 5-year-old children and their favorite adults to learn about nature in an age-appropriate fashion. Making positive nature connections is important for your child's brain development, learning, and mental health. Register by calling or emailing the contact listed below.
