Bring your child to read to the PAWS therapy dogs and expand or maintain their reading skills through the summer by reading about nature. The reading time is followed by a story read to them by Claudia Rowe, TLNC Education Coordinator to learn about wildlife and plants in Florida. You must register to attend. The program is free but entry fee is only $5/vehicle no matter how many children or people are in the car. Registration is required so we can be sure enough dogs are present for the children to read to.

During the hot summer months, we offer programs off-site but our shaded trails, screened picnic shelter, air conditioned museum and education buildings remain open for visitors to enjoy.

Reading Tails with the PAWS Therapy dogs and Naturalist story for your child to enjoy and practice their reading skills.
Naturalist Series: Various monthly programs are presented by biologists, scientists and other experts in their field from Lake and surrounding counties. June's program will focus on Red Tide and Sawfish.
