The Trout Lake Nature Center, Beautyberry Chapter of the NPS, Oklawaha Valley Audubon Society, In Focus Camera Club and PAWS Therapy Dogs hold a joint holiday event for their members and volunteers. Bring a covered dish to share, wear your holiday colors and join the potluck.

The Gulf Coast Academy students will visit TLNC for lessons on Weather. Staff and volunteers teach hands-on, interactive lessons to the visiting children and accompanying adults. Although still open to the public, access to some areas may be restricted for activities.

Charlene has traveled around the world taking photos of wildlife. In this exhibit, photos from every continent except Antarctica are shown. This exhibit will be on display for about 3 months.

Dr. Vliet, alligator researcher from the University of Florida will share his insight into gators and their behavior based on his many years of research.

Jonathon Hodge Champion Fiddler/Contemporary Violinist presents: a review of tunes representing personal influence of fiddling masters of years past but not forgotten… plus a few favorites. He will be accompanied by Ted Strauss on guitar. Jonathon started with the Suzuki Method in classical violin in the fall of 1970 at age 6. He would soon discover fiddle music through his grandfather’s avid interest in the local fiddling talent throughout the Pacific Northwest. A fluency of many diverse styles developed as he learned from some of the fiddling’s finest examples in their particular genres. In between tunes the audience will be entertained with stories of lessons learned, the people they came from and a little about the tunes themselves.

Come be surprised with an enchanted performance.Folk Music Third Saturdays Concert. $7 at the door. The potluck will begin at 7 PM with music at 7:45. Bring a covered dish for the potluck.

Youth 8 to 18 are invited to become members of this 4-H Junior Master Naturalist Club that is modelld after the original Master Naturalist Program. We will investigate nature using hands on activities, visit with scientists, field trips and more. To learn more, call 352-357-7536.

Staff and volunteers take children from the Modern Schoolhouse homeschool group on a field experience about habitats and plants using interactive lessons. Although still open to the public, some areas might be in use with this learning experience.

You are welcome to join this training for our education volunteers to review current student lesson activities or learn new lessons. Become an education volunteer and make a difference in a young person's life.

This committee works on developing, researching, constructing and installing exhibits throughout the property and museum. Are you creative? Then this is the committee for you to get involved in.
