Join expert birder Bob Wexler to learn about birds at TLNC. Bring your camera and binoculars if you wish. $5 donation suggested.

With its rolling hills and rural charm, Green Mountain Scenic Byway is a place known for wildlife sighting, historical small towns, and outdoor recreation. It is a wonderful byway located in Central Florida that has helped revitalize the communities it passes through. It is a favorite of motorcyclists, car clubs and Sunday drivers, bicyclists, walkers and photographers.
Greg Gensheimer will introduce the State’s Byway Program, show some of the local byways , provide information on the economics of trails and talk about the evolving efforts of the Byway over its 20 years of existence.
Each month TLNC invites various scientists, nature lovers, storytellers and environmentalist to speak on a wide variety of topics. Although some topics appeal more to adults, children are always welcome. TLNC does charge a $5/vehicle entry fee to all non-TLNC members.

Folk Music Third Saturdays Concert. $7 at the door. The potluck will begin at 7 PM with music at 7:45. Bring a covered dish for the potluck.

This program is designed for 2 to 5 year olds to have a positive experience in nature when accompanied by an adult. You MUST register to be sure enough supplies are available for all children participating. Dress your child in play clothes and plan for him/her to get dirty. We may be digging in the soil, finding bugs, learning about flowers or hiking in the woods.
