One of the Trout Lake Nature Center’s (TLNC) education themes is “Inspired by Nature” to show how nature can inspire creativity. TLNC will be holding a nature craft fair on Saturday, November 8, from 1 to 3 PM.

Nature crafters and artists are invited to our event to share their craft or art with visitors. Potters, painters, weavers, crotcheters, and more are welcome. You can sell your art, but are expected to demonstrate or show visitors how they could learn your craft/art.

Vendors will be located both inside and outside, depending on weather conditions. If you are located outside, you can erect a tent and set up tables. The setup will begin at 11:30 AM and should be completed before 1 PM. A $25 deposit is required to reserve your space. This deposit will be refunded when you show up for the event or you may choose to donate it. (Deposit will be returned after the event.)

During the hot summer months, we offer programs off-site but our shaded trails, screened picnic shelter, air conditioned museum and education buildings remain open for visitors to enjoy.

Some on-site summer programs we offer include:

Reading Tails with the PAWS Therapy dogs and Naturalist story for your child to enjoy and practice their reading skills.
Naturalist Series: Various monthly programs are presented by biologists, scientists and other experts in their field from Lake and surrounding counties. June's program will focus on Red Tide and Sawfish.
