Naturalist Program: My Experience as an Eagle Watcher
Eagle Watch:
The Trout Lake Nature Center will host "My Experience as an Eagle Watcher" on April 17, 2026, from 6:30 to 7:30 PM. Learn from Susan Fetter about her experience as an Eagle Watch volunteer. Fetter will tell how she began as a Watcher, learn about eagles, and is now an experienced and dedicated Eagle Watch Volunteer. She will tell how you could become involved with the Eagle Watch program.
Bonjorn’s work demonstrates how local action leads to big change. His team collects and recycles oyster shells, returning them to coastal waters where they form new reef systems that filter water, reduce erosion, and create vital habitat for marine life. The program will also spotlight mangrove propagation efforts that stabilize coastlines and provide nursery areas for young fish and other wildlife.
These efforts begin here—because what we do in our own backyards affects Florida’s coastal environments. Water, nutrients, and materials travel through our lakes and rivers to the sea. Protecting these inland systems helps ensure healthy estuaries and thriving marine ecosystems downstream.
Water moves. Systems connect.
No registration required but there is a $5/vehicle entry fee for all non-members.
